I had an excellent day as usual, despite a split hose spraying hot oil over the exhaust which somehow failed to turn my car in to a pile of ashes. Has anyone got pics of my car leaving the track full of smoke?, yes we have in the gallery

I had way more requests for passenger rides than I was able to give, what with the oil incident and also needing to keep the car going for next week (Barkston Heath) and the week after (final round of the autotest championship I'm doing quite well in).

Ace fun all day, and some really excellent driving all round. Some amazing cars too, like the huge estate thing, and the Starion of death, plus some nice shiny cars too.

Something I've noticed about the Norfolk Arena days is that they are becoming more "professional" without being any less relaxed or fun, which is a neat trick. The excellent organisation is totally hidden behind the big smiles on everyone's faces. Nice work guys, and thanks

really???? still ended up being JUST £40??? NICE!! im not from here, but even i know a bargain when i see one. from what ive been told, where im from it cost around £124ish per person per drift day. i cant say much, cause i still cant manage to get my fc out of the garage, BUT what i can say is a 40 for all that seat time without the fun environment (which norfolk has fun oozing out from everywhere hahaa) would still be worth it! so come out, drive, enjoy the ooze, get seat time, get better and go home. simple and to the point. that is all

Another amazing day thanks to all the norfolk team again extremely well run as the last two days ive attended have been also. Thanks to steve at mint tyres for sorting my wheels out all day to....

The last session of the advanced group in the dark was the most fun ive ever had in my car. I dont know who the guys were in the black 32 think i bumped into u at the end of the day at mint tyres spot and the s14 with the purple wheels but the driving was epic and we had a gd 5~6 lap session wih no spinning.

Thanks to everyone again ive gone from not drifting for two years to feeling extremely confident in my car and wanting to push more and more and that i put down to the team at norfolk the drivers at norfolk and the all round fantastic attitude of everyone who attended and runs these days i cnt wait to get bk again in the new year....

Thanks again guys

It's been said before and it will be said again and again, there is a TEAM at Norfolk arena that make the practice days an absolute pleasure to be part of. Massive thank you to ALL the team for another awesome day.

Malx, don't even think about apologising for the queing, its because the days are so enjoyable that even with 3 other major events on the same day and the prospect of shit weather, the place was stacked out.

Sun, rain, dust and happy faces all day long, Norfolk is the b*ll*x imo

On a slight negative note, as I left I noticed Minnie walking around the pit area with a litter picker and a black sack coollecting OTHER PEOPLES rubbish.
Come on guys and girls, Minnie gets there the night before, works her ass off all day long and then has to pick up litter !!!!!!

If we all do our bit and walk to the bins then this would not be neccessary.

Roll on July

Extremelllllllly enjoyable day!!!

It was my first day at Norfolk (been other places) and also my first real day drifting, in my own car.

My car is my pride and joy and more one which gets polished as opposed to drifted so a bit of a jump, although one that was long awaited - had a superb day, nothing too hairy happened, the car is still healthy (although did get caked in everything you can imagine!) and most of all I had a great time, couldn't believe how well I did (thats in my opinion )

Can't wait for next time, although can't help but think i'll be drifting something else as i'm not sure I can put mine through anymore

Thanks to everyone who made the day great

Now eagerly awaiting Pictures!!!!!!!!

Had a brilliant day today

Thanks for the passenger giggles Minnie - Its been AGES since I got to jump in with you, and damn girl you've got skills!!

Was defo worth the 3 1/2 hour drive up there - aiming to have myself in a skid car for the August date

Was nice to see the Norfolk bunch again too - and as Alex has already said, don't think I saw an unhappy face all day!! - Even Tom's car was still going when I left :P

epic day

Just got home after being recovered and taken nearly five hours (with a suspected burn out valve)

Lost indicators, stereo and hazards on the way up (blown fuse you can't buy anywhere)

had car overheat and had to change water pump in the pits (broke the rachet and had to do all bolts by hand)

Broke down on track (new style blade fuse broke up for fuel pump meaning I was stranded on the fastest part of the track and had to push the car off)

weather couldn't decide what it wanted all day (rain, hot or cold) very annoying

But still had an amazing day, good fun and driving. Also really cool people an friendly atmostphere. This was my first Norfolk drift day, definately will not be the last. Strongly recommend !!

what an awesome day, so much fun for my first day, i hope you all had an awesome day, the track changed so may times today the conditions were mega changable, thank you to everyone who helped out or gave me advice or what not, roll on the 23rd of july

We will be happy to add comments to this page, PM MALX on Driftworks
we are pleased to have welcomed the staff of PERFORMANCE BMW MAGAZINE. (July 2010)

PBMW are part of the unity-media group that produce some of the best motoring mags in the country, in our 2+ years running track days at norfolk I have seen more and more BMW’s take on the so called JAP stronghold, many of you will have had a few laps in the school car, many think it is a big power M3.

It is in fact a standard E30, 325 road car, just over 153,000 miles on the clock when first used on track, since then (3+years) possibly 50,000 miles on the rev limiter! And still the same engine. AND can still keep up with the best of them round our track.

So as a ford fan it is high praise to the BM’s that they are my favorate car to teach in,
